Tikkebroeken

In the Corsendonck region in Oud-Turnhout and Kasterlee, the Rode Loop river runs through a valley that has always flooded in the event of heavy rainfall. This resulted in a typical Kempen peat bog, called De Tikkebroeken. Even today, the Rode Loop still floods the nature reserve as soon as the heavens open. The nature reserve can be accessed via 2 signposted paths. In the breeding season a limited part of the nature reserve is closed off to the public. (Author: Natuurpunt Kasterlee)
